Please help us create a wonderful home for a single mother and 3 children

Hello, thank you for your interest in helping Patty and her 3 children as they transition from homelessness.

Patty and her family were referred to Grateful Gatherings by a local church. Patty is a hardworking mother of 3, she works at the Boys and Girls Club in Oakland and has been saving money to get her own place.

After Patty's divorce, she lived with her sister, but with 6 kids in a small apartment, it was getting to be too much for both families. Patty was able to save for a deposit plus first and last month's rent and got a 3-bedroom apartment. She had to leave everything behind after the divorce and the thought of starting over again was very stressful. Buying furniture would cost too much and left Patty feeling hopeless. Thankfully, that's where you come in!

Below, you will see all the items needed for Patty and her children. Please sign up to make her empty apartment a home! She is so grateful for the help!

Please bring purchased items to the church on Sunday, May 14th (this is a NEW DATE) or you can purchase and send directly to arrive by May 15th to: Resurrection Oakland, c/o Amanda Collison, 1714 Franklin Street #100-454, Oakland, CA 94612-3409.

If you have a large furniture item you wish to purchase or donate, please contact amanda@resoakland.com, please send a photograph of your item or link, and email Amanda to confirm the item.

Due to some difficulties for this family, we will need to post-pone the move in date (originally scheduled for May 13th). We still plan to collect items and hold them for Patty and family until we have a new move in date.
